Mid-Month Update from Log Cabin Quilter

 The 15th of each month is the day JulieK and I share our "Farmhouse Sampler" progress. This is our sixth block.


I also have progress on two of my current quilt projects to share.  First is the "Lewis Coverlet".  The next and final round is an applique border.  I have not started the applique preparation but hope to very soon.  When I last shared a picture, the top was at the point where I had added the squares on point round.


The "Dishcloth" quilt top still needs a border.  This is where I am at on it.

A New Start: The Lewis Coverlet from Log Cabin Quilter

 I started a new quilt project.  The pattern I am using is called "The Lewis Coverlet".  The pattern can be found in Susan Smith's Quiltmania book called "Somewhat In the Middle".  I changed the flower shape from the original pattern for ease of stitching.  It will be a medallion style quilt.


I don't think I got the layout traced correctly.  It was difficult following the lines on the pattern sheet as there were several different designs on the sheet and they overlapped each other.  The sheet gave half the design which I traced and then folded in half ...
